Research summary

My activities are mainly in the field of geriatric epidemiology, in particular:

  • Planning and implementation of epidemiological studies on chronic conditions associated to the aging process, both in the psychological and physical domains (dementia and cognitive impairment, osteoporosis e osteoarthrosis, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, physical disability and sarcopenia, frailty);
  • Planning and implementation of clinical trials, pharmacological and non-pharmacological in the field of aging and chronic conditions;
  • Scientific coordination of national and international events in the field of health services research for the older population, in collaboration with scientific societies (SIGG; EUGMS; AFAR).
