ARVO is the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, which gathering over 11.000 basic researchers, ophthalmologists and clinicians of the visual system from all over the world.
The mission of ARVO is “To advance research worldwide into understanding the visual system and preventing, treating and curing its disorders”. The Awards Committee confers prestigious prizes to distinguished scientists who provided exceptional contributions to research or clinical studies in vision; they receive the awards during the international meeting, hold annually in one of the large conference venues of the USA.
