Giovanni Bortolan received the laurea degree from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy in 1978.
From 1981 he was a Research Fellow and presently he is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Neuroscience IN-CNR (Institute of Biomedical Engineering ISIB-CNR until 2014) of the Italian National Research Council.
He has published numerous papers in the area of medical informatics and applied fuzzy sets. He is actively pursuing research in medical informatics in computerized electrocardiography, neural networks, fuzzy sets, data mining, pattern recognition and biomedical signal processing.
